WEDDINGS

The wedding ceremony is usually done in English; however, it is very Hawaiian/cultural in feeling, with oli (Hawaiian chant), the blowing of the conch shell (pu), an offering of kava ('awa) and the use of salt (pa'akai).  A Hawaiian language ceremony can be accommodated.

The ceremony flows smoothly while each section is explained.  Couples are informed that they can add or subtract from the given itinerary as they please. The reason for this is because I want to provide a service that will best enhance the couple’s vision of their wedding. The ceremony is very "user friendly"; meaning that there's not much to it and there's really no need for a rehearsal. However, a rehearsal can be accommodated, particularly if there are added variables such as people speaking, singing, scripture readings, etc.

I can also offer a Ring Blessing Ceremony, which usually takes place at the wedding rehearsal (if one is held). Depending on how many people are a part of the rehearsal/Ring Blessing, it may take anywhere from 12-15 minutes and onward. If interested, more details can be shared and discussed.
